Antique Furniture Care & Repairs
Cost £250
Duration 2 Days
This course is designed as a practical introduction to the care of antique furniture. It will cover specific areas of restoration which may reasonably be performed at home with few tools and without the need of a workshop or woodworking experience.
Students are requested to bring a maximum of three smallish pieces to work on. These will be discussed and advice and guidance given on how to approach their restoration. Time is set aside each day for students to work on their own pieces and it should be possible for this to include practising the use of many of the techniques covered during the course.
As this is a two day course it is likely that individual pieces will have to be completed at home. The aim is for the course to be practical, very informative and enjoyable.
There will be a supplementary charge for a basic polishing/finishing kit.
