Carving & Turning

Using our lovely old cast-iron lathe we are able to faithfully copy and/or repair original turnings such as drawer pulls, finials and paterae. We are also happy to replace or repair missing sections of carving.

Turned and carved elements are often the parts that really set off a piece of antique furniture, but they are also generally the most fragile and vulnerable. Replacing or repairing missing pieces with accurate and sympatheic copies will often make all the difference in a restoration project.

Turning skills can also be used to repair breaks to chair legs, stretchers and spindles etc.
