Short Furniture Making Courses
These courses are aimed at everyone from absolute beginners to those with plenty of experience (maybe self-taught), wishing to refine their existing skills and learn professional techniques and standards. Anyone with an interest in learning woodwork is warmly welcome to attend perhaps as a taster to finding out if woodwork is a career or hobby they would like to pursue. The courses are packed with information and are mainly practical – always the best way to learn!
Under John’s expert guidance and tuition students will cover many of the basics of fine furniture making and antique restoration. Simply choose the areas you wish to study. Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are the only requirements. Perfect for both the first timer or those wishing to advance their existing skills.
The Wood Machining Weekend is also open to all although generally aimed at those who have either already purchased or are considering purchasing their own equipment or who have access to big woodworking machines are naturally rather in awe of them. The emphasis on this course is on safety.

Tuition starts at 9am sharp, finishes at 6pm on Saturday and 5pm on Sunday
